Stronghold Involvement at BSR Camp Emerson

Joe & Nancy,

Thanks for the opportunity to help out at Camp Emerson. I hope that we were of assistance in getting the camp ready for campers starting tomorrow. I have included some pictures of the work that was done at the camp. All the work that got accomplished could not of been done without the help of Stronghold Engineering as well as Johnny Rhew of Rhew Plumbing whom donated his time to get the pool house showers operational. I want to also Thank Nancy, she insured that we had all the material needed when we arrived and was extremely helpful in making this a success.

Thanks, Robert Stuart

High Desert Cub Day Camp

High Desert Day Camp could not have been a success without the help of soo many people. Here are some of the top things we could not have done without.

  1. Without the force of nature that is Rafina we would not have had a day camp this year.
  2. Without the help of Kathie McVay in what I believe were very trying circumstances for her I would not have been able to carry this off.
  3. Berna Blackwood and John and Crista Mason coming early and staying late all week and offering to help wherever I needed them got me out of several tight situations.
  4. Pops and Kevin and Bob coming to our aid at the very last minute so that we would at least have the BB gun program.
  5. Berna for getting the railroad safety people in on Wednesday.
  6. Kory and his boss Rusty for all the work they did and hurdles they jumped to make Mercy Air happen. Kory called me on Thursday to tell me it didn't look like it was going to happen and then he calls me Saturday afternoon and tells me it's basically resurrected from the dead with a 90-plus percent certainty it was going to happen and one of the things that made that happen was contacts at CHP helping to make some of those roadblocks go away.
  7. The help of the junior leaders Seth and Toby and Nathaniel and Tyler was indispensable. They back filled wherever needed and did all the odd jobs we asked of them and they never complain and always had a good attitude.

Positive Quote & Prayer
-------------------------------

"The fruit of silence is prayer. The fruit of prayer is faith. The fruit of faith is love. The fruit of love is service. The fruit of service is peace."

    ~  Mother Teresa

A Prayer For You

My Friend, I pray that.........

May you always see and appreciate the beauty of life

May you find immense joy and fulfillment in everything you do

May you never cease to grow, fly, and reach for your dreams

May you always smile and laugh for the good and bad in life

May you stay blessed, feel loved, share love with others

May our friendship lasts till our hearts grow old.

Amen
