Wood Badge Reunion Silent Auction

Calling all Woodbadgers!

Young and OLD..Scratch that Young and Mature...Oh who am I kidding!! HELLOOOO are there any Beavers out there?? (How about "Are there any Beavers present??")
Well follow suit, join in the song and remember the fun of your own personal Wood Badge Experience?? Come share in the joy! Saturday October 13.

And now comes the "please"...you remember the great times?? Who would you like to see attend Wood Badge? Are they able to attend? Is it financially hard for them to attend? Did you know that there is a Wood Badge Campership? I was a recipient of a Campership and it helped me to get the opportunity to attend Wood Badge.

So the money from that Campership came from fellow Wood Badgers who donated items for auction. Yes I know you can now see where I am going with this. We need items for the Wood Badge Reunion Silent auction. Big items small items...We need donations.

So would it be possible for you to find something big or small. It doesn't matter. We will accept any and all donations. Smaller items can be combined into bigger baskets.

Some ideas may include...

Patches
Scout Memorabilia
gift baskets
AVON gift baskets

Mary Kay
Monavie
Pampered Chef
Dutch Ovens

Think outside of the box. Look at what you have in your house..your collections..

Last year we had a silly witch Halloween decoration...and many other items..We raised approx $800. This years goal is $1000!
Think how many will benefit from Camperships? YOU can help to make this happen!

If you have something and would like to donate it please contact me via email Divine_Durango_Diva@msn.com or call me 951-833-2409 even Facebook.

I will be more then willing to come pick up the item you wish to donate. You may also drop an item off at the Scout Store let them know its for the Wood Badge Reunion Dinner Auction and I will pick the items up from the scout store.

Looking forward to hearing from you all. Please pass this to all Wood Badge. Your patrol. If you are the contact for your sessin please pass this on. Let everyone know. Get the word out!

Yours in Scouting, Christa BUBBLES Jenson, WB  Reunion Silent Auction Coordinator

Red Ribbon Week Patch

Dear Boy Scouts & Girl Scouts Leaders,

The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) created a Red Ribbon Week patch to encourage and support sScouts who wish to learn about Red Ribbon and participate in local efforts to educate youth about the dangers of drug abuse.

Red Ribbon Week was established in memory of the sacrifices made to help keep our communities drug-free and encourage youth to lead healthy lives, free of drugs. Observed annually from October 23-31, Red Ribbon Week is a national celebration to promote youth education on the dangers of substance abuse.

The DEA encourages all Boy Scout and Girl Scout groups to participate.  Patches will be given to the first 25,000 qualifying Boy Scout and Girl Scouts.

All Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts are eligible to participate in the program.  To earn the DEA Red Ribbon Week Patch, Scouts must complete the following:

  • Each Scout leader or designee must submit the Intent to Participate form by Friday, October 5th, 2012. The online form is available at www.JustThinkTwice.com.
  • Each Scouting unit or troop must coordinate or support a Red Ribbon Week activity.
  • Each Scout must attend a drug prevention education session.
  • Each Scout must take the DEA Drug-Free Pledge.
  • The Scout leader must submit the Activity Report upon completion of program requirements, no later than Friday, December 14th, 2012. The online form is available at www.JustThinkTwice.com.

Please review the Implementation Guide. Many of your questions will be answered in the guide.

For questions or comments on the program, please send email to Demand.Reduction@usdoj.gov or call 202-307-7981.
